When a member starts to work for a different business in your space, the member’s profile must follow the member. If you create a new profile instead, the member has 2 profiles with separate memberships and invoices. Move the member instead. The member keeps 1 profile, and Flex moves the personal memberships, fees, and invoices to the new company.
You also use these steps to add an individual member to a company. For example, a member who is not part of a company must join a company before the member can be on a contract.

Move a member to another company
Change the company on the member’s profile. Flex then moves the member’s personal items to the new company.
Go to Operations > Members to find the member.
Open the member’s profile.
Click Edit Details to open the member’s details.
Open the Company drop-down menu.
Select the new company.
Click Update to save the move.
What happens when you move a member
A move changes where some memberships and invoices belong. Before you move a member, check which memberships the old company pays for. Those memberships stay with the old company.
When you move a member to a new company, these changes happen:
Personal memberships, fees, and invoices move to the new company. Personal items are the memberships and fees that use Bill to Member, so the member pays for them. Learn how personal invoicing works →
A membership that the old company pays for stays with the old company. The membership loses its named member. You can assign the membership to another person later.
The member’s account and profile stay the same. The member keeps the same login and profile information.
Add an individual member to a company
An individual member belongs to no company. To add the member to a company, use the steps in "Move a member to another company." In the Company drop-down menu, select the company that the member joins.
After the move, the member is a company member. A company member follows the company status, and only a company member can be on a contract.
